Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers: Old Fashioned Rock and Roll
Hear rock and roll as your fondest memories would have you do so with these songs
– Born In The Spring
– 4th of July
– Hearts In Pain
– Flower In Rain
– My Sweet Charade
You know that sound you romanticize from your youth? In your mind, those songs sound…sweeter, profound and written and performed by someone who was just needed to get some heavy stuff of their chest. The stuff you hear on most stations has all the fluff of cotton candy and nearly as little real substance. When I listen to Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, those feelings I got from music as a kid come flooding back in. It’s just good old fashioned rock and roll.
Sadly, these good ol’ boys have decided to hang up their hats for the rest of 2012, hinting at the possibility that 2013 won’t see their return (at least in their present formation). Lets hope for the best.

Off The Box,
p.s. I wanted to give a special shout out to Hobbs, one of my favorite music fans. Thanks for turning me onto the SK6ERS buddy. See you at ACL 2012.
