Foot Stompin’ Indie-Rock is what their fans like to call the sound that is Ha Ha Tonka. This four-man band from Springfield, Missouri is rock music when you boil it down to its core. The layers atop it though are what make them worth listening to and what will get you falling in love with them.

These harmonizing good ol’ boys bring you the spirititual soul and downtrodden despair of the Ozarks. I’ve seen them several times live and they do not disappoint. Alive and kicking since 2005, they’ve put out three albums. While they’ve received accolades and made appearances in some noteworthy places, one of the more random and interesting appearances they made was on the Ozarks episode of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.

If you have a Daytrotter account, I HIGHLY recommend checking out both their 2008 Daytrotter session and 2009 Daytrotter session.
