Lydia Loveless: pouring her heart out to make more room for whiskey and beer

Good reasons to stomp your feet, drink whiskey and laugh about the insanity that is life
– More Like Them
– Paid
– Things I do
– Learn to Me
– Can’t Change Me

Raised on the family farm in Coshocton, Ohio, it’s no surprise Lydia Loveless was bored to tears. Life on the farm wasn’t all Green Acres made it out to be. At 18, she blew town and headed up to Columbus to raise hell and dove head first into the punk scene. The outcome of the combination of experiences that make up the life of Lydia Loveless is her spectacular sound blended of honkytonk and classic country and bitterly honest and skeptical lyricism.

At 21-years-old, you may not be surprised by how colorful this young lady’s language is. However, you might be surprised by just how damned insightful she is for being such a junior in years.

Give her a listen and figure for yourself. Here’s the link to the Lydia Loveless Official Website if you want to find out more.

The Lydia Loveless Daytrotter Session is another damn good session worth listening too.
